How does Intelligent Bidding work?

Intelligent bidding allows you to place or increase proxy bids at any point during an auction. Intelligent bidding will then automatically submit current bids on your behalf during the auction at the lowest amount possible, up to and including your proxy bid using pre-set bid increments. This means that you will be able to buy cars for less than the proxy bid, subject to other bidders not matching or exceeding that amount. It also means that you do not have to log in at the end of an auction to increase your current bid. Of course, you still have the opportunity to log in to monitor current prices and submit live bids if you prefer.

Is my proxy bid visible to anyone?

No. Nobody is able to see your proxy bid except yourself.

Final 30 seconds

Any bid placed in the final 30 seconds of an auction will extend that auction by a further 30 seconds. This now includes Intelligent Bidding so that any bids that are automatically placed in the final 30 seconds will also extend the auction.

How do I pay for a purchase?

When you have purchased a vehicle you will receive an invoice, payment information and collection and contact details from the supplying dealer. For accepted payment methods please refer to your invoice. Cash will not be accepted as full or part payment.

How do I contact the seller?

The seller may be contacted after purchase. You will be supplied with the contact details on your invoice.

What does reserve not met mean?

Current bids have not met the seller’s original reserve price. The reserve price may change during the auction period at the seller’s discretion. If a reduced reserve places a car on sale the highest bidder will be notified.

How will I know if I have bought a vehicle?

You will be advised via email and the vehicle will have been transferred to your account.

Why are some vehicles offered as Click to buy?

These vehicles have failed to meet the seller’s reserve price and are now being offered for immediate purchase.

Can I buy a car before the end of the auction?

No, all auctions will run for their allotted time.

Where do you get your stock from?

All vehicles offered are main dealer part exchanges.

Where are the vehicles located?

Each listing displays the postcode details of the vehicle’s location.

How long before I have to collect?

You must contact the seller within 24 working hours of receiving notification of your purchase to arrange payment and collection. Collection will usually be required within 5 days of notification of your purchase. You can collect between 9am & 5pm Monday to Friday and you are required to give 24 hours’ notice of collection.

How do I reset my password?

You can change your password within your account. If you have forgotten your password please use the ‘forgotten password’ link here and you will receive an email that enables you to create a new password.

What is the watch facility?

The watch facility enables you to highlight vehicles of interest and receive reminders.
